I think this means that you can’t get every thing by force, but some times by gentleness because force is strong and sometimes even freighting, and that is never a good way to do things for an example : your brother or sister has something you want. You are probably better off asking them politely then screaming in their face, and yelling,  forcing them to give it to you .
